Quotes for
new stone countertops can vary greatly in how they are
prepared and presented. In addition to the cost of the
stone itself, a complete countertop fabrication and
installation project requires edge shaping and polishing,
usually one or more sink or cooktop cutouts and faucet
hole cutouts, proper mounting and sealing of sinks,
installation of backsplash, tile or risers (where appropriate),
possible electrical receptacle cutouts, and removal/disposal
of the old countertops (for remodels).
Make sure to compare the total
project price when shopping for new countertops. A low
advertised square foot price is meaningless if high
charges are added on for even the basic fabrication
and installation items that are required. We itemize
every charge on our quotes and break out backsplash,
sinks, cutouts, etc. so you can see exactly how the
total is arrived at. We also do not charge for templates
or in-house estimates, and our quotes always include
installation. Finally, we can also quote any related
work that may be necessary such as drywall repair, painting,
tile setting, plumbing and electrical.
